 Our fourth large teddy bear give-away. More than 600 Gund Teddy Bears are on order.
   
  2008 Denver Children's Home

 We have donated five new computer monitors to the Denver Children's Home.  This home was featured on Oprah's Big Give.  It sounds like they are having a positive response from the community.  The computer monitors were on their "wish list".  More photos

  2007 Southern Seven Head Start

 
The Shadow Angel Foundation donated a new computer and digital camera to the Massac County Head Start Center.  The centers older computer dates back to the 1990s!  They were in desperate need of a new computer.  The center also needed a digital camera to take photographs of the kids for the local newspaper. 
   
2006 Caesar J. Fiammia Award

 Beau Dodson was honored by Paducah Area Chapter of the American Red Cross executive director Sue Henry at the chapter's recent "Hats Off" recognition/awards ceremony for volunteers and donors.  Dodson, a volunteer instructor in Community Disaster Preparedness training and a member of the 2006 Heroes Campaign committee, received the Caesar J. Fiamma Volunteer Award.  Read more.
   
2006 Mark Trail Award

 NOAA presents the Mark Trail Award to WPSD-TV and the Shadow Angel Foundation of Paducah, Ky. for support of the agency’s NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards program.  Read more.

Hurricane Rita Response - 2005

  2005 will likely be remembered as the year of the hurricane.  The United States paid a high price for its built up along the Gulf Coast.  Read more.

 One of the worst natural disasters to ever strike the United States.  Millions left homeless.  Read more.
   
2005 Ohio River Flooding

 January 2005 brought heavy rainfall to the Ohio River Valley causing rivers to flow out of their banks.  Particularly hard hit was Livingston and McCracken Counties, of Western Kentucky.  Hundreds of volunteers helped to build a levee in Smithland, Kentucky.  The Shadow Angel Foundation provided food and drinks to the volunteers.  The foundation assisted other volunteers at the Red Cross Shelter.  Read more.
   
American Red Cross

 The Shadow Angel Foundation continues to play an active role with the American Red Cross.  During 2004, 2005, and 2006 the foundation has been able to donate money and electronic equipment to help prepare the local chapter for the eventuality of a natural disaster.  Computer monitors, other computer equipment, bulletin boards, and other items have been provided.  Read more.

 More than one hundred books were donated to the Southern Seven Head Start Centers in Massac County, Illinois.. Read more. 
   
2004 NOAA Weather Radio Giveaway

 To mark the one year anniversary of the Tri-County Tornado the Shadow Angel Foundation donated weather radios to be given away for each day during the month of May.  Since that time the program has been expanded through WPSD TV 6 and more than 10,000 weather radios have been purchased by area residents at a discount.  Read more.
   

Six Who Make A Difference Award

 NBC - WPSD TV 6 gave Beau Dodson one of the 2004 "Six Who Make A Difference" awards.  The awards are given out to area residents who have shown extraordinary service to their local communities.  Read more.
   

May 6, 2004 - 1 year anniversary of the Tri-County Tornado Outbreak

 On May 6, 2006, the National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky hosted a one-year anniversary look back at the Tri-County Tornado.  Many speakers discussed the event and what actions were taken to help save lives.  Beau Dodson spoke at the event concerning the charitable work of the Shadow Angel Foundation following the storms devastation.  Read more.
   
A scooter for an angel

 April needed a scooter in order to have more freedom to go places.  Her mother called upon the Shadow Angel Foundation to see if there was anything we could do to help.  Learn more.
   
On May 6, 2003 a killer F4 tornado tour through portions of Pulaski, Massac, and Pope Counties of Southern Illinois

 Cash donations were raised by the foundation in order to help people rebuild their lives.  More than $25,000 dollars was given out to people in Pulaski, Massac, and Pope Counties of Southern Illinois.  Learn more.

 A book was published to help document the event for survivors and future generations.  The book was sponsored by the Shadow Angel Foundation through private donations.  100% of the money raised from the book was donated back into the community to help rebuild homes and businesses.  Learn more.
   
On May 6, 2003 a killer F4 tornado tour through portions of Pulaski, Massac, and Pope Counties of Southern Illinois

 The Shadow Angel Foundation responded by delivering information to area schools, mental health agencies, and churches on how to help kids cope after a disaster.  In addition to this more than $25,000 dollars in cash donations were handed out to area residents.  We donated 1200 brand new Russ Teddy Bears (special thank you to Russ Bears for giving us a discount and working with us on this project) to the children in the impacted counties.  Many parents responded with thank you letters stating that their children slept with their "storm" bears when the weather turned stormy.  In addition to all of the above a book was published to help document the event for survivors and future generations.  The book was sponsored by the Shadow Angel Foundation through private donations.  100% of the money raised from the book was donated back into the community to help rebuild homes and businesses.  Learn more.
